The Ducal Palace is located on the highest point of the town of Lerma.
It was constructed on the site of a 15th Century castle as a place of
lodging, rest and general enjoyment for King Felipe III. This building
features a central courtyard surrounded by columned arcades in
alternating sections: the first has 20 Tuscan columns with semi-circular
arches, and the second has 20 Ionic columns. The palace was restored and
converted into the hotel comprising 70 rooms and capable of
accommodating up to 133 persons. Aside from the usual hotel services
such as a restaurant and convention rooms, the air-conditioned hotel is
also equipped with Internet/WLAN access (fees apply). Facilities include
a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, currency exchange
facility, lift access and a café. Guests may also take advantage of the
